Octagonal Mortar & Pestle Set

Description

A mortar & pestle is a versatile and hard-to-replace tool for crushing, dispersing, and mixing solids. In the art studio, it’s especially useful for making paint and breaking down natural pigments (like walnut hulls or turmeric). This elegant mortar & pestle set features an octagonal mortar, glazed outside and unglazed inside. The pestle is also unglazed at the bottom. The rough surfaces create friction, giving this simple tool its crushing power.Measures 3.5″ in diameter.
